After graduating from the University of Regina in 2001 with a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Film Production, Mark Montague moved to Ontario to continue his education at Sheridan’s School of Animation Arts and Design. It was Saskatchewan’s booming film industry that brought him back home.
“I kept hearing from my friends about all the industry opportunities back in Saskatchewan, so when I graduated I decided to go home and see what kind of experience I could get. I was hired right away and with a strong work ethic I found my way to where I am today”.
In 2008 Mark began producing with Minds Eye Entertainment. As a partner of Minds Eye, he is in charge of overseeing the day-to-day production of the companies slate. His feature film executive producing credits include The Tall Man, Faces In The Crowd and 13 Eerie. Mark is currently completing the twelve-part travel adventure documentary series Around The Next Bend and the comedic web series inSAYSHAble.
“As a producer, I see first hand the money that the film industry has reinvested in the province. I am concerned that without a new incentive program, I will have to move away to work. My wife and I are raising a young family and would like nothing more to remain here at home in Saskatchewan”.
